Hyderabad
Hyderabadi Dum Chicken Biryani
Basmati and chicken sealed and slow-cooked with saffron, yogurt and fried onions.

Brandeis and Bentley are both in Waltham, and Rassa is a short drive from both campuses. Book the family table, add flowers and a cake, and toast the graduate.
Commencement week
Commencement weekend fills Waltham's restaurants fast, and family tables go first. Book early, choose your time, and add our celebration extras so the table is ready for the graduate: fresh flowers, candles, a golden runner and a cake brought out for the toast.
Families travel from all over for graduation, and our menu welcomes everyone: halal meat, a deep vegetarian list and gluten-free dishes. For 16 or more, our private rooms seat the whole family, with a video wall for the photo slideshow.

Make it special
Switch it on when you book and we set your table before you arrive. No phone calls, nothing to carry in. You just walk in and see it.
Extras are paid online when you book, so your table is ready when you arrive. Online booking closes an hour before; for a same-day celebration call (781) 472-4000.
The experience
Straight from the ceremony to a table already set with flowers, candles and a card for the graduate.
Dosa and biryani, butter chicken for the cousins, vegetarian dishes for the grandparents.
A toast with cocktails, wine or mango lassi.
Brought out for the graduate, with the whole table cheering.
The one with everyone, around a table that looks like a celebration.
Why Rassa
Both campuses are in Waltham, a short drive from Moody Street.
Tables for up to 15 are confirmed straight away; bigger groups send a request.
The Welcome Room seats up to 30, and the Video Wall Room has its own bar and screen. See private events.
Halal meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
Add them when you book; no shopping on a busy commencement morning.
Lunch 11 am to 3 pm and dinner 5 to 10 pm, so lunch after a morning ceremony works too.
How it works
From our kitchen
Coastal South Indian cooking and North Indian classics, with halal meat and plenty for vegetarians. Finish the way South India celebrates: with payasam.

Hyderabad
Basmati and chicken sealed and slow-cooked with saffron, yogurt and fried onions.

Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
A crisp rice-and-lentil crepe rolled around spiced potato, with coconut chutney and sambar.

Punjab
Paneer, peppers and onion charred in the tandoor after a yogurt and spice marinade.
In their words
Best Indian food I've ever had in the Boston area.
The Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani was full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked.
We absolutely loved everything we ordered. Flavors are top notch.
